Last year I boldly lay down a ‘Statement of Intent’ for the year in a vain effort to force myself into attempting some outdoor activities way outside of my own personal comfort zone. As part of my ‘Statement of Intent‘ for 2012 stuck way down diminutively at number 3 I have a small paragraph which reads as follows:
3. Microadventure 1 – a morning of sea-kayaking & coasteering followed by hiking the South West Coast Path from Crantock to Portreath (around 23 miles), along some of the most rugged and beautiful coastline that England has to offer, camping or bivvying out on the cliff-tops or down on some inaccessible beach..
I love this quote so much and the sentiments behind it resonate greatly with me so I just had to post it on my blog. Print it out, stick it on a wall, use it as a screensaver, whatever you want; but don’t ever forget it!
