A statement of intent for 2011! (Update)

So it’s that time of the year to have a look back at and properly assess how well (or otherwise) I did with my profound and quite ambitious ‘Statement of intent for 2011’!

At the start of the year I boldly lay down a list of adventurous challenges and travel hopes that I intended to tackle throughout the last twelve months of 2011, by putting these ambitions down in print so to speak I was hopeful that I would be beholden to the whole idea.

Foto Friday – will be a new post that goes up on the Travel Blog every Friday with a different photo that I have taken from somewhere in the world whilst on my travels.

I hope these photos of some of the amazing, wonderful and sometimes downright mad places that I have seen and experienced while travelling may help encourage others to get out there and explore and see for themselves this incredible planet that we live on!

This particular shot was taken during a sultry evening from up high on ‘The Peak’ on Hong Kong Island. I took it from the small but beautiful, (and incredibly crowded), Peak Pagoda. No city in the world quite looks like Hong Kong does at night!

The Paradox of Adventure

It’s now three whole weeks since I arrived back from my little skiing trip to Italy, and the prangs of boredom are beginning to surface. Searching through quotes online researching for my fourth posting under the ‘Adventurous Quotes’ category I came across this little gem – which – coincidently seems to sum up quite nicely my current state of mind. A little classic!
